CIE Delta E 2000
The CIE Delta E 2000 is an improved color difference metric based on
the CIE Delta E 94 metric, and
is generally regarded as the current state of the art in color
difference metrics. It modifies the CIE Delta E 94 value with
corrections for hue in the blue region, as well as adjustments for
luminance level and Chroma.
Since it is base on L*a*b* space, a reference white needs to be
chosen to compute this Readout value.
